At Christian Union Church, we seek to affirm and mobilize our students in their relationship with Jesus through engaging teaching. We also look to get them plugged into their own role in the life of the church. We believe that students aren’t just the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today. Elevate
High School and Junior High Elevate both meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the church fellowship hall.
Wednesdays start with a student friendly dinner. Teaching is shared by Martin Smith, the youth director, and, periodically, sponsors Cathy Gregait and Dana Smith. Matt Gregait, Abby Anderson and Sierra Staub are also sponsors. The teaching times focus on the Bible. Specifically, we hope to make the Bible’s teaching about Jesus and Christian living clear and practically relevant to students. Through the talks, we also help students learn the principles of personal Bible study.
Our Current Series:
Starting on September 30th and continuing through late October, we’ll watch and discuss Tim Tebow’s video series Shaken. Tebow provides 10-15 minutes Bible teaching interspersed with fun stories from life and college football career. His focus is on an identity grounded on Jesus that takes people through life events that would otherwise threaten to shake us. We’ll follow his teaching with a discussion broken out by age to apply the truths to our individual situations.
Please join us! We’d love to welcome you and your friends!
KidZone
KidZone (K-5th grade) is open Sunday mornings, during the worship service. Kid’s worship, learn God’s word, pray, grow and have fun in the KidZone! KidZone events are another fun way for our kids and their friends to connect with each other. Watch the church newsletter or view the church calendar for monthly events!
