High School and Junior High Elevate both meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the church fellowship hall.  Wednesdays start with a student friendly dinner made by Daphne Smock.  Next, Elevate alums DJ and Angi Smock leads a really fun game time started by the humorous video of the week.  Teaching is led by Martin Smith, the youth director, and, periodically,  sponsors Cathy Gregait and Dana Smith.  Matt Gregait, Abby Anderson and Sierra Staub are also sponsors.  The teaching times focus on the Bible.  Specifically, we hope to make the Bible’s teaching about Jesus and Christian living clear and practically relevant to students. Through the talks, we also help students learn the principles of personal Bible study.

Our Current Series:

Our closing series this spring is on five elements of the weekly church service (eg, preaching, musical worship, etc).  We’ll examine why the elements exist in the service and how to engage with God during each element.  We’ll also have short testimonies by church members focused on how they have learned to enter into each aspect of the service.  For further application, we’ll end with breakouts by age and gender led by a pair of sponsors.   We also have a super fun pizza, mini-golf, and go cart night at Kartville in West Peoria during April and a year end party at Smiths’ in May.
