Dear Cyber Friends,

We are thrilled that you have clicked, wandered onto, or diligently found our website after much Googling. I am hopeful it is a God thing that you found us, no matter how it happened. Recently I joined the staff at Christian Union to serve the congregation in Metamora. All churches are on a journey and this one is no different. We are all sinners who share a variety of backgrounds but one faith in Jesus Christ.

While we know there are many different opinions and approaches to Christianity, we believe that Christ alone can bring unity to the Body of Christ. Christian Union has been born out of many heritages but one true faith in Jesus Christ. In John 17, Jesus even prayed for believers in all ages to be unified that the world would know who he is.

This side of Heaven, we will perhaps never see a day when we agree on every subject or doctrine, but we do know with absolute certainty that Christ claimed to be God. He died on a cross for the sins of all, and he arose victoriously over the grave. He now extends salvation through his Body, the Church, in the form of the Gospel. His Word is our guide and instructive for our journey.

In the call to follow him is the need to make a difference in the lives of all we touch. We are not trying to be religious, but faithful in the journey we are making as disciples following Christ. It is indeed a journey and I was called to share in the journey with Christian Union. As God shapes our identity in Christ, I am hopeful that many, perhaps you, will join us in this journey.

Sunday School and 10:00 A.M. Worship. I am hopeful that in addition to the current ministries we offer, we will be expanding our outreach in many ways in the coming months and years.
