Welcome to Christian Union

Welcome to our website and our church! Hopefully this will give you a little flavor of who we are and who we are trying to be.

We are on a journey. That is why Jesus called us to follow Him, seek His Kingdom, walk a narrow road, enter through narrow gates, and yes, even walk through the valley of the shadow of death on some occasions, knowing that God is with us. In the Great Commission of Jesus (Matthew 28:19), He spoke to His disciples and to us, saying, literally, “As you go, make disciples.”

We want to extend an invitation to you to attend worship with us very soon and when or if the time is right, join with us on this journey at Christian Union Church. In this age of many competing world views and when the culture wants us to be politically correct, not Biblically correct, we have chosen a road that is becoming less traveled. Our journey has taken us to conclude that many are called to share in this body, the Church, and what centers our mission and work is Jesus Christ, knowing and serving Him. We want to preach a pure doctrine and at the same time never lose sight of the fact that agreeing about every doctrine will not unite us. Unity is not uniformity. How will pursuing sound doctrine help? It can mature us in our faith, it can help us lead Godly lives, and it can help us refute false teaching--all commanded in scripture.

Christian Union endeavors to “Unite Our Community in Christ.” We are not “Protestants,” protesting other faiths that lift up Christ. We are simply Christians trying to follow Jesus with a passion that faith and the Holy Spirit should bring into the life of every believer. We want to make a difference in our community and in our world. Our battle is not against flesh and blood (Eph. 6:12). We do our best to keep in mind who the enemy is; it is not people and it is not other churches.

No matter where you are at on the journey (maybe you are ready to start for the first time) and no matter where you may serve today, we want to help you on your journey. If you need a church home, you will be welcomed here and we will do our best to find a place for you to serve with the gifts God has given you. If you have a church home, we want to encourage you to serve passionately to make a difference in our community with us as we unite in Jesus Christ. May God bless your journey and ours, too!
