Psalm 119:64

The earth is filled with your love, O LORD; teach me your decrees.

Education

Nursery

A nursery is available for parents of very young children during the Sunday morning worship service. The nursery is staffed by adults and responsible high school-aged volunteers. Contact an usher or follow the signs if this service is needed.

Sunday School

We currently offer Sunday School for two-year-olds through adults at 9:00-9:45 am on Sunday mornings September through May.  All curriculum is centered on the Bible. We encourage students to bring their Bibles and use them during class, but if you don't have a Bible, one will be provided. Throughout the year we have various mission projects that each class helps support.

Children's Ministries

Pastor Gary and Stephanie Russell lead K-6th graders (ages 5-12) in an exciting children's program we call "60 Minutes To Live It!"  Children younger than age five may attend, but only if accompanied by a parent. All parents are welcome to attend with their child, regardless of their age. "60 Minutes" meets from 6:30-7:30 pm on the first three Wednesdays of each month, with a break the fourth (and fifth) Wednesday of the month.

Vacation Bible School

We offer a Vacation Bible School session each summer for preschool age children through 5th or 6th grade. VBS is a Bible-related study on a specific theme with fun activities that children enjoy. It is typically offered on weeknights to accommodate parents and helpers that work during the day.

Confirmation Classes

When students enter the 8th grade, they are welcome to attend confirmation class. The place, duration, dates, and time are established by the Christian Education Committee and Pastor. The intent is to prepare our young people to make their own profession of faith in Jesus Christ and for full participation in our church. Some of the topics covered are:
• What the Church and our faith mean to us.
• Contents and messages of the Bible.
• Our Faith: Who is Jesus? Why is He important to us? Making what Jesus did personal.
• Personal prayer and devotions
• Why and how do we worship?
• What are the sacraments?

Youth Ministries

Various activities, Bible studies and events throughout the year are offered for junior high and through senior high youth of our church and their friends. Scroll down the Events page for upcoming youth events.

Camps

Each year we offer church camp partial scholarships to the youth of our church. We have sponsored youth to attend the Miracle Camp in Michigan, Camp Good News near Washington, Illinois or Camp Manitoumi near Cazenovia, Illinois.

Adult Ministries

In addition to Adult Sunday School, a mid-week Bible Study is offered at the church on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 pm.  Other learning activities for adults and/or families are offered throughout the year. For upcoming opportunities, scroll the Events and Service pages.

Library

We have many books, videos and CDs in our library. We encourage people to check these out for their reading, listening, and viewing pleasure. We frequently add new material to the library.  Checked out materials should be returned after 1 or 2 weeks.
